Nextel-Sprint Complaint - Nextel-Sprint service

Review by kissme on 2007-06-28
CORNING, NEW YORK -- About Nextel-Sprint service, we ordered the service online last night June 27, 2007. It does really sounds so good. But then after I read some of the bad reviews about them today, I told my son to cancel our order since it states 30 days money back guarantee, right? hope they do not bill my son's credit card. I will let you know if they screwed us up! I told my son probably it might be better off to stay on Tracfone, since it has no contract. Actually Tracfone has more coverage than any other services!!!

Tracfone piggy-backs on other networks. That's why the better coverage.

Speaking of Nextel, not sure if it's tomorrow or next Monday, Nextel will be part of the New Sprint. Sprint has already dropped the Nextel name in advertising.

Remember that this site is mainly used for complaints. I have never had a Sprint or Nextel phone so I don't know what their reception or customer service is like. Try asking someone in your area for their experience. The Corning area can be quite hilly, and service might be spotty with any carrier.

AlleyS, why do you have to rely on others to give you the end of your contract date? I was already out of contract with T-Mobile four months ago when the battery on my phone wouldn't hold a charge for very long. My niece did some slick talking for me and I got a new phone for a one-time charge of $10.95. Of course I'm in a new two-year contract with them, but I can tell you to the exact date when it expires. I would say those 'other people' who suggest suing aren't too well versed in contract law. Should you 'win' (which I feel highly unlikely), you'd pay more in attorney fees and court costs than early termination fees.

PassingBy, I agree about the piggy-backing. Evidently T-Mobile does the same. At one time there were several areas in MI (and other states) where I couldn't get reception. Now I haven't traveled anywhere without service. It tells me at the bottom of my screen which network is carrying the call but I've never paid attention to who it is.
