USPS Complaint - Don't deliver if don't know a name personally
IRVING, TEXAS -- I have been in Irving a month plus. No mail has been delivered to me although several items have been sent and properly addressed.
I called the Post Office was transferred to a carrier, who would not identify themselves (first clue), and he arrogantly told me that if he did not recognize a name he did not deliver the mail. They leave no note, and make no effort to determine anything nor notify the recipient that mail is being withheld. Even after seeing mail for me for over a month he still is not delivering and has not notified nor questioned if I am here. They act like they are GOD.
My mail is lost, they have an attitude and I will not longer trust/use the usps for anything. Their arrogance is rude at best. I called back to the post office and asked to speak to a manager and when asked if they are operating within PO policy Stan first talked around the issue and then said they were, as if they are taking some obscure rule and have made it convenient for themselves. How easy to cut back on their work but leave the consumer holding. It is time to do away with the USPS and allow those that run like a decent business to take over. Certainly at the Dallas /Irving region level it is time to clean house. Last year on tax deadline day the PO at Walnut Hill closed early. All customers who were out front wondering what to do could hear the employees goofing off in the back. The stamp machine was out of stamps even and it was to late to go elsewhere.
Once posted they have your money so why should they care if they deliver or not. And at the Valley Ranch Irving Post Office they have taken it to a new level where if a lazy carrier does not want to do his job he just says "he doesn't know you he doesn't have to deliver". Even though the address is correctly done it is irrelevant. They have gotten mail for me for a month and still are not delivering. They say they are returning it but not so,,,it has gone into a big black hole. I think they have thrown it away. All because he very arrogantly thinks he has to know the name.
Next we'll be having to register our first born sons with them.
