Palm TX with 2GB SD Card - Complaint
Review by trudelle on 2007-06-30
SUNNYVALE, CALIFORNIA -- I went to Fry's Sunnyvale, CA store yesterday (6/29) to buy a Palm TX that was advertised in yesterday's San Jose Mercury News as selling with a 2GB SD card through 7/3, specifically listing that store. Despite examining the ad posted on the wall, the manager, after lengthy delay to find the "right item" (Palm makes only one TX model), ultimately said "you get the one without the card". They had the Palms in stock, as well as the cards pictured in the ad, they just refused to honor the terms of the ad. I was a regular customer of theirs for 18 years, but will never shop there again.

They wasted my time, insulted me, and completely lost my trust.

Though I don't blame you, it might have been the paper's fault for screwing up the ad.

keep the advertisement take pictures of the ad in the store .have some one else go in there that they dont know as many people as possible and gather and document your claim then call corporate in a calm respctful voice and inform them not the store also contact local media and your state consumers advocate office. Then if they dont comply you should have enough to give to a lawyer and stick it to them .they tried to screw me too and found out that even an old hickabilly can bite pretty hard too .if he puts in his 2 good tefuses first. They told me they wern't going to service my 52'' tv that i have a 5 years service contract i called corporate and when i got done they weren't happy but, they were here on a saturday to change the bulb in my tv and drive 80 miles round trip and not cost me a dime to boot .So dont just take it as a wise man once said "GET UP STAND UP STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS GET UP STAND UP DONT GIVE UP THE FIGHT!"

no because the companys that it is for is resposable to make sure of content in the ad before they give the ok to print it.Sears tried t that with me on a boat with a 5 horse motor but when i got home it just didnt look right for some reason where upon closer examination of the ad i discovered that they had put a 10 horse motor on the boat in the ad calling it a 5 horse i took the ad and the 5horse motor back to SEARS and showed them to the managerand told him i was expecting the motor in the picture ad not this little piece of crap. And in 15 minutes i left with a 10 horse outboard motor for the price of a 5 horse because they were useing a deceptive ad by useing the bigger one to make it look better.thats a no no.
