U.S. Energy Savings Informative - U.S. Energy Savings a total scam

ELGIN, ILLINOIS -- This company has a super aggressive (desperate) sales force that are obviously trained in bullying tactics to sign customers up by going door to door in low income neighborhoods. They target low income families and seniors lying to them that by getting their gas through them they will receive a 'fixed' rate and will save. The opposite is true. They overcharge you and before you know it, you won't be able to afford your gas bill. You will begin to amass credits with Nicor, but will still receive higher than average bills from U.S. Energy Scammings. When you try to cancel your service they will absolutely take no for an answer and will talk or yell over you to drive their lies home. If you finally convince them to cancel your account with them, they will charge you a hefty cancellation fee. The door to door salespeople flat out lie to people and will bully you if you try to expose their scam. There have been many complaints against these people, but yet they are still running their con. You can't believe what I went through to even get the address of their corporate headquarters in Chicago. They like to make it look like they are sanctioned by Nicor, but I assure you they have no connection with them. They are unethical--Don't fall for it!!

If they come to your door again, do not answer. Call the police and report them for possible illegal soliciting. Even if they have the proper permits and all, this will at least break up their day.
