Spirit Airlines Complaint - Spirit Airlines is wretched.
ATLANTIC CITY, NEW JERSEY -- Spirit Airlines is basically the worst airline ever.
Spirit Airlines customer service is worse than terrible - it is nonexistent.
After booking a flight from Atlantic City to Las Vegas, I waited on hold for over an hour in order to enroll in their frequent flier program. Unfortunately, none of the Spirit Airlines staff at the Atlantic City International Airport could tell me how to obtain or redeem frequent flier miles - I was told, "You can try calling the customer service line, but they never answer, anyway."
We boarded a dirty plane. There were crumbs on our seats and newspapers on the floor. In the seat-back pockets, we found partially consumed items of food.
During the flight, they ran out of ice and complimentary bottled water.
Furthermore, the flight staff failed to effectively address a problem with disruptive passengers. In response to multiple passenger's complaints about the behavior of the rowdy group, the attendant said, "Oh, they're on vacation having fun - and they're probably so ripped they don't care anyway." Despite identifying intoxication as a factor contributing to their disorderly behavior, the flight staff continued to serve them alcohol. This response was not only ineffective, but also irresponsible.
I have absolutely no intention of spending time on hold with Spirit Airlines customer service in an attempt to obtain my frequent flier miles, because I will never, ever book a flight with them again. After paying $10 per checked bag, their price was not low enough to offset the dirty conditions horrible customer service.
In conclusion, Spirit Airlines fails at life.
