Sears Complaint - Sears Return Policy - Customer Service
TAUNTON, MASSACHUSETTS -- I purchased a Craftman self-propelled lawn mower with key start. The salesman informed me that I would have to charge the mower before first use and then would not have to charge again for the summer season. When I got home I put oil in the mower and put on charge. That evening I was reading the instruction manual and it said that for proper use the mower should be charged after each use. Since I was lied to by the salesperson I took the mower back to Sears with box. Had to wait for customer service for approximately 30 minutes and then was told that I had to pay a 15% restocking fee because the mower was used. I did not use the mower but because I put oil in it I had to pay the 15% restocking fee. This is an outrage - I feel the salesperson should have informed me of this return policy - I have never heard of such a thing - I will never shop at Sears ever again!!
