Casa Palomino Compliment - Muy bueno comida (I hope that's right)

Review by Starlord on 2007-07-02
COOLIDGE, ARIZONA -- In the little town of Coolidge, AZ, there is a family restaurant called Casa Palomino. They have excellent food and service, all at a reasonable price. The Palomino family runs this restaurant, and runs it very well. We have a lot of Mexican restaurants in our county, as we have a predominantly Hispanic population, but Casa Palomino stands head and shoulders above the rest. If you ever come through Coolidge, on State Road 287, look between the Auto Zone store and the Rain Tunnel car wash. Small restaurant, nice atmosphere, good food and prices, and a consistent 'E' rating by the health dept (the best).

He forgot to mention that they are closed on Sunday but I have to agree....a great place to eat!

For our Latin speaking audience:

¡Él olvidó de mencionar que ellos están cerrados el domingo pero tengo que concordar .... un gran lugar para comer!

No comprendo. Don't know how it's spelled, but that's what it sounds like.

Usually family owned restaurants have more appetizing food than the chains, except when you get into the four and five star rated eateries. They have the more unusual items on the menu, too. You won't find the same things offered from one place to the next.

Thank you, everyone. The folks have been so terrific with us for so long, I felt it was time to give them a pat on the back.

can't read the menus, but love the food

The menus at this restaurant are in plain English, very easy to read and understand. For about $7.00 I get a huge burger, large order of fries and a drink.....our average ticket between the two of us is about $15, and that includes corn chips and salsa before we even order. They treat us like family there!

crystal, sorry I did not make myself clear. Just a general statement of good Mexican restaurants. I don't know the difference between an enchilada and a burrito, but I really like the food. It's hard to find good mex food east of Texas
