Burlington Coat Factory Complaint - Attention President:
VENTURA, CALIFORNIA -- Dear Monroe G Milstein,
I am writing to you for clarification of a response I received from one of your customer service representatives regarding my complaint below. I received a letter from a customer service manager that said I'm basically out of luck, even though I have a receipt with the gift certificate number on it! I can't believe their unwillingness to help!
Here is my original complaint:
I received a gift certificate for Christmas from my Mother. I had been to the store but after the holidays your selection was not good, so I held on to it. I have since misplaced/lost this certificate and was told by the Assistant store manager in Ventura that there was nothing they can do even though I have the receipt, and I should call customer service. I have called and left two messages with my information (I believe the Rep's name was Brad) and not received a return call. I would like you to cancel the gift certificate I lost and replace it with a new one. I was told by the Assistant manager you have no way of tracking the certificate, I cannot believe this since I have a receipt with a transaction number (attached). I hope Burlington Coat Factory is an ethical business and will replace this gift as soon as possible, as I like the store very much and would hate to stop shopping there.
At the very least I would like a response regarding this incident.
