Hotels.nl Complaint - BOOKING STUFF UP - Accomodation

AMSTERDAM -- Despite receiving three (3) confirmation emails from Hotels.nl http://www.hotels.nl and double checking with them, once I reached the Hotel, I found that there was no booking. I was forced to take a room at the American Hotel nearby at double the price. The young idiot at the hotel informed me that a booking is not confirmed unless I have an email from the hotel directly that proves my booking is confirmed - he did not accept the proof of my confirmed reservation provided by Hotels.nl. Thanks for causing all the mental and economic stress during my holiday.

Don't use this company for hotel bookings, please tell everyone you know - Lets hope they go out of business soon.

I don't think someone doing their job the way they are told to do it should be called a "young idiot". I certainly hope you didn't say that to his face.

I have found if you deal with a name brand hotel directly, you get better service.
Price ain't everything.
