Sprint/Nextel Complaint - Released unauthorized personal account information
FLORIDA -- 7/4/2007 Sprint/Nextel released personal and confidential information regarding my account, balances, due dates, payment history, how my payments were made each month and with which credit card, address, and contract information to a individual using one of my phones on my account this person did not have the passcode to my account to be authorized to receive this information. This person was also denied access earlier in the day at 10 am due to not having passcode which was documented on my account but yet he called back around 1pm and didn't have to provide the passcode to the customer service rep and accessed my entire account!I called and complained as soon as this individual told me all the details of my account, the Customer Service Supervisor JAMIE was very unconcerned regarding this matter never attempted to correct or explain why I have a passcode on my account if her employee/company just allow anyone to access my account and privacy and personal information. No luck with her asked to talk to someone higher up, What do you know she is the only one No one higher than her! So I demand to disconnect my services, boy she laid it to me then I will have to pay $200 per phone plus fees and taxes for early termination. (2 phones with 1 year left or less) I explained why should i pay it, I feel unsafe to conduct business with this company since it disclosed personal and confidential information to a person that is not an account holder nor had the access code to the account which was denied access at 10am yet a rep allowed access to my account to him with out their following the proper security policy on the account. Mind you when I called to complain and got transferred 5 times through out my complaint I had to provide the phone 0r account number, the name on the account, and my passcode! But yet this individual did not have any of the information except my first name and his phone # on my account. I have filed a complaint to BBB ripoff here, consumer service, will be contact the attorney general, FTC, and PUC and another agency as well as newspapers and media and blasting it across MYSPACE website! My identity is at risk thanks to them. They showed no concern or remorse pertaining to the matter and refuse to speak with me today because I wouldn't pay my bill! I want answers as to why they allowed this and Im going to be charged $200 dollars per phone and fees and taxes.
