Orbitz Complaint - No refund/credit, poor customer service
IRVINE, CALIFORNIA -- Yes very easy to purchase a ticket but to get a refund/credit, impossible. After not receiving the tickets from Orbitz, and not being able to check in to the airline without them, I had to purchase new tickets for a higher price. The nightmare started when I went to get a refund from Orbitz. 1st call connected to someone who connnected me to a busy line which then hung up on me. 2nd call gave me another number to call which was the same number I had just called then hung up on me. 1 out of the 5 people I have communicated with at Orbitz have seemed to even care. Finally spoke to someone who said they would not refund the price of the airfare nor the fees they charged me on top of the airfare. They shuffled me to work with the airline which doesn't seem right because I bought it from Orbitz and Orbitz has my money. Anyway the forms came in the mail and costs $25/per form to process. I have 4 tickets so $100 dollars just to process my forms and no guarantee of a refund. I've decided to cut my losses. Spending another $100 to get back the original cost $200 for the tickets doesn't seem like a good idea. I've already lost the Orbitz fees + airfare + higher price for new tickets + time, energy, frustration. I will not be purchasing anything ever again from Orbitz.
