American Home Shield-(AHS) Complaint - A/C Repair - Air Conditioner
I first contacted AHS on 5/26/07 because out air conditioner was not functioning properly. One of their contractors showed up the next day made his diagnosis. Said there was a bad coil but the unit really needed to be replaced. He would contact AHS to see what they say. They opted to fix the coil. Well after this visit there were 2 coils and 3 compressors and it still does not work. My family has had no A/C at all since 6/29/07 and I have a 2 month old baby. I live in the South and it is hot and humid. This does not matter to them. All they are concerned with is that they have already spent a lot of money on this unit. That is not my problem. Finally one last attempt to repair it, a new contractor told them it was not worth repairing and we are getting a new unit. We still have no A/C but I am hoping to get the new unit before the end of the week.
It worked out well in the end but has taken A LOT of angry phone calls to get here.
