Comcast Corporation Informative - Appointments/Service Calls
I have read many of the reviews on here and a lot of them complain about missed appointments or technicians not showing up... let me explain to you the policy and maybe you guys will understand a little better and understand many of the problems have probably been your fault :)
The schedule has the technicians time strategically blocked for a certain number of jobs to be scheduled within a certain time frame, obviously with anything, the technician could run into problems at previous jobs which would cause him to be late...its natural. Its not like your the only appointment the tech has all day and he just showed up late for the heck of it. Naturally we cant give smaller appointment windows or pinpoint the exact time a tech will show up at the home, and that goes for any utility company.
***PRE-CALL POLICY**** Comcast has a pre-call policy for all of its appointments, meaning that the technician will call the phone number on the account to confirm the appointment. If nobody answers the call or calls back, the appointment is canceled as its assumed nobody is home if they don't answer the call. So make sure any appointment you set up a phone number in which you will be able to answer during that appointment window.
If you are not home or you miss the appointment, theres no way to get someone out there that same day, you have to be rescheduled... sorry but thats just how it works.
