Arthur Murray Dance Studio Complaint - No refunds on dance lessons

ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA -- In March 2001, I went to Arthur Murray, St. Petersburg Florida using their
free Introductory lesson. I was immediatly sold 25 lessons so I could be a
"better dancer". In May 2001, I told them I was moving to Santa Barbara.
The sales pitch increased, with the additional incentive that lessons were
cheaper to buy in St. Petersburg than in Santa Barbara. On 7th June, I caved
in and bought 25 more lessons for 2125/-. I still had 10 lessons left from my
previous batch. I was promised that the lessons were "fully refundable" and
never expire. I started using these lessons in the Santa Barbara studio around
August. In December I decided to stop going there for lessons. And in January
I wrote to Arthur Murray, St. Petersburg asking for a refund. They did not
respond. I wrote another letter in February and then in March I wrote to the
head Franchise office, and they responded to me, mentioning that they were not
responsible for their franchisees. Then I filed complaints with the BBB and
the Consumer Protection Agency, Clearwater. I still have no response from them.
I have 7 lessons left with an amount of 595$ involved.

Do you have the refund policy in writing or was it verbal? Get it in writing.
