IHOP Complaint - Food in IHOP
DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA -- I was at Daytona Beach for a couple days, and the person I was with insisted on breakfast at IHOP both days.
The first one (there are three on A1A) managed to cook the eggs as I asked, but the toast was burned, and the grits were very watery and crunchy, like they were poured into warm water, and then splashed in a bowl. It is freezing in the restaurant, plus fans were blowing from the ceiling. I wouldn't have gone back to an IHOP, but had to the next day because of my friend.
The next IHOP we went to was on A1A in Daytona Beach also. My friend and I both asked very plainly for eggs over well. I do not like runny yolks. When the plate came, it was like the cook did exactly the opposite. The eggs were running all over my plate(and his), and even the egg white was not cooked. Yech!! The grits were the same watery mess as at the first IHOP.
I was able to eat a piece or two of the dried up stale tasting toast, and the two good pieces of sausage. The rest was wasted. We paid over fifteen dollars for plates of horrible food. The coffee in the caraffs was luke warm. I do not like to complain and embarrass my friend. If IHOP is buying Applebees, I feel sorry. Why let IHOP ruin a good restaurant?
