Comcast Corporation Complaint - Customer Service is powerless to correct problems
COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO -- Called to switch my father's cable TV service in the nursing home from the old room to the new room he was being moved to. Got an installation date of 7/13. No one showed up. Dad is in Colorado, I am in New Jersey. Found out Sunday cable was not connected. Called and was given a new installation date of Monday 7/16 between 3 and 5 pm. No one showed up. Called Comcast - why didn't anyone show up? They don't know. Messages from tech are cryptic. Dad is 86 years old, crippled, in a wheelchair, can't hear well on the phone, so he can't call. His only entertainment is the TV. Comcast is very sorry but the only appointment they have available is Tuesday between 1 and 3 PM. Don't forget, the appointment was originally for Friday in the morning, so Dad has had no TV for four days now. Do you know how long days are when there is nothing to do and you are trapped in a wheelchair? What's more he waited in the room all afternoon today for the tech and no one showed up. Comcast is very sorry. Dad sits in the wheelchair and can't even watch the news. This is the result of allowing one company to grow so large that it no longer can function on a human scale. Comcast is very sorry. Dad cried last night. I don't want Comcast to be sorry, I just want them to hook up my dad's cable TV.
Is this really too much to ask?
