BP Informative - Disgusting! - BP (Stuckeys)

Review by fazie on 2007-07-17
YEEHAW JUNCTION, FLORIDA -- Family and I travel to Vero beach on Saturday morning - stop at the BP Stuckeys gas station in Yeehaw junction for gas (hubby has gas card) as he pumped gas I went in to use the ladies room. This place is gross! First of all you could tell the windows hadn't been cleaned in god knows how long and in looking around the store the filth was everywhere. Floor, cooler doors, drink station etc. All dirty. I gave them the benefit of doubt and went into the restroom, no go, this bathroom hadn't been cleaned or updated in years! I refused to allow my son to buy anything to eat or drink from this place, I went outside and told my husband, he paid for his gas and we went next door to the other store (which is where I usually stop when I travel that area) I have emailed BP so far no response but I will be wary of any bp stores in the future. Sad to say but this store was run by arab, indians?? Not sure but they are not the cleanest people. We have a few stores in our town run by them , I refuse to spend my money at these places cause of the filth, I stick to the clean places. After all if they won't clean the floor what else do they neglect? The hot dog machine? The soda fountain? Which leads me to believe the back is probably loaded with rats, I am not buying a thing from these places, gross!

"...they are not the cleanest people..."

Ah, generalizations. I've been to MANY gas stations and seen extremely disgusting conditions (one particular restroom in Jackson, MS had me convinced that diseases would leap from the fixtures and attack me if I even moved), but they all seemed to be run by (gasp) caucasion folks.
White folks can be (and are) just as dirty and nasty as any other race.

We have a few stores in my town that are run by "them" as well and they are some of the cleanest businesses I've ever been in. It's more likely that it's the individual(s) that own and operate the business that need a lesson in cleanliness, not the entire Arab race.

Let's see, you are traveling through YEEHAW, FLORIDA, you refuse to let your son eat anything from the HOT DOG MACHINE. Arab...Indians? I guess it is true that prejudice is derived from IGNORANCE!

BP (British Petroleum) is a huge company. My guess is they are not going to give your racist, barely literate little complaint any kind of thought.
I have been to Yeehaw Junction(on my way to the west coast of Florida)ít's an itty bitty little town that looks like the scene of a past nuclear atack, but itcuts through two major roads so my guess is that this particular gas station is fairly busy.I am pretty sure that the gasoline they sell takes priority over the bathrooms.I have never expected the Ritz Carlton at any gas station bathroom.
All that aside,it's probably really difficult to find anyone who wants to work at a gas station in Yeehaw Junction.Get a hobby.

Perhaps the comments regarding the proprietors nationality was stereotypical, but believe me, this place is a rat hole. I travel extensively and have seen some god-awful restrooms both in this country and abroad --this place is horrible by even third world standards. I can't believe the health department hasn't shut them down ... perhaps because of it's remote location?

I was with you until you started sounding racist and mentioned "them" people. At that point you totally lost me.
