Ashley Furniture Complaint - Ashley Furniture is the worst furniture store with worst customer service
ALGONQUIN, ILLINOIS -- I wish I came across this Ashley Furniture review site before I bought furniture from them. By reading some of the complaints on this site, it looks like I'm not the only one that starts out by saying "I Wish". Anyways, to make my long story short, I just moved and bought furniture from several furniture retailers. All have done an amazing job, accept Ashley Furniture. I bought a table and 4 chairs, everything was delivered on time, no complaints there but all of the items were damaged. Cracks, dents, chips, spilled paint, even foot prints on the table. RIDICULOUS! Two of the chairs were assembled incorrectly and foot rests are reversed. Delivery guy told me to accept it and call customer service for replacement. I called Ashley Furniture right away and asked them to send replacement for the entire set. They refused and told me that this is my fault that I accepted it this way and I should go to the store to complain. I asked to speak to the manager and the manager said they will send a technician to inspect the furniture. No apologies, no customer satisfaction credit, nothing. I feel that they lied to me and ripped me off. I will never shop at Ashley Furniture ever again. Their furniture is still sitting in my garage, waiting for a technician, and it looks pathetic. Looks like it came from a second hand store. Ashley Furniture and Ashley Furniture customer service officially SUCKS! BTW, I wish I looked at BBB.org which lists THOUSANDS of unresolved complaints. Somebody needs to file a class action law suit against Ashley Furniture.
I hope this review helps others avoid shopping at Ashley Furniture in the future.
