TeamWork Mobile Home Inc Complaint - House Siding Installation

Review by 4true on 2007-07-18
BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA -- Review entered July 18, 2007. In April 2005, I paid TeamWork Mobile Home Inc. of Plantation, Broward County, FL nearly $5000 to install vinyl siding on my house. The vinyl siding manufacturer guarantees the product, but the installation is guaranteed by the installer. In October 2005, Hurricane Wilma hit South Florida and approximately a quarter of the siding blew off. TeamWork company owner, Gary Hemmerle, refused to replace or install new siding under his original installation guarantee that covered the work for any loss due to workmanship. Mr. Hemmerle required charging the repair as a new job. The screws securing the siding remained in the house after the siding blew off and this revealed that screws had only been placed every 2 to 4 feet. Proper installation required screws every 16" of linear siding. Mr. Hemmerle inspected the damage and stated he did not know how the lack of screw placement occurred, but would not correct his installation work. He did not respond to a complaint sent to him through Angie's List, and I made the repairs myself (cheaper, better, and faster than going to court). I recommend against hiring TeamWork or any company associated with Gary Hemmerle for any mobile home repair work. I have recently seen advertising by Mr. Hemmerle for a variety of repair work under different company names.
