Vonage Complaint - Nightmare
CLAYTON, NORTH CAROLINA -- I changed my phone service to Vonage hoping to save some money. I received the modem in the mail and hooked it up to the computer. The only phone in the house that would work was connected to the computer, and it was located upstairs. I requested a service call to do what ever had to be done to get all the other phones in the house to work. I was given an appointment and no one came, I called back and they set up another appointment and no one came.
I called and said I would cancel the service if they didn't get someone out, they said they would be there within two days. They didn't show. They called me back to tell me that the tech's car broke down and he would be there tomorrow. Well they called back the next day and said the car was still not working and another tech would be out. No one came and I called to cancel the service.
Well, I called Embarq and they came within 3 days. I called to cancel internet service and discovered that my old Time Warner phone svs still existed due to Vonage not completing my service order. And get this Vonage said I owed them 149.00 for cancelling their service. This company should be paying me for staying home waiting for a service man to show up on 6 different occasions. And when I called to speak with a supervisor I was cut off after 35 minutes.
