Sprint Nextel Complaint - Unethical and Rude - Wireless
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- I have been a Sprint customer for 6 years. Once of my major complaints with them is that they never tell you about promotions. For instance, when you contract is up for renewal, you can exchange your phone for a better phone at really subsidized rates. They never tell you that when you walk in, say 1 year and 11 months into your contract and buy a phone for full price.
However, what is happening now takes the cake. In January, I was told by a Sprint representative that my contract would end in July. I wanted to cancel my account, and pay the early cancellation fee. he convinced me to change the package I had to the less expensive one and cancel in July. I agreed. When I called them back in June, I was told that my contract would end in August. When I complained, I was advised to go to the store that I had earlier visited and complain to the representative's supervisor! :)
It is July, and I called them to cancel my account in August. I was kept waiting for 20 mins, and the guy who finally picked up the phone told me I was on the wrong line, and he would transfer me to the right one. I got a recorded message saying Sprint had transferred me to the wrong line, and I would need to disconnect and call back.
I called back and have been waiting on the phone for 20 mins, just to try and talk to someone.
These guys SUCK and should never be allowed to run a business
