WAUCONDA, ILLINOIS -- When my house was built, the lines were buried in my back yard by ComEd. They took the least expensive option and ran the lines through the middle of the yard. They could have followed the eavesment, but their way saved them a few dollars. The result is that my back yard is useless. I can't put up a permanent structure in the back yard. To have the lines moved is close to $2,000, when it could have been done for < $200. I certainly hope one day, I get to choose my electric company. It will not be ComEd.
