SUGAR LAND, TEXAS -- I purchased a 5 year contract with this company and irresponsibly did so without doing the proper research. I live in TX where it is hot 9 months out of the year. I have a 17 year old A/C unit so I was mainly concerned with that. When it broke down and the service tech came, he told me it needed to be replaced. It took 7 days of no A/C before NHP got back to me, only to say that they will not honor their end of the bargain because I don't have maintenance records of the A/C unit. They even acknowledged that maintenance had nothing to do with the problem. What a bunch of criminals! Now they're going to charge me $200 to break the contract.
All I can hope for is that they don't claim that my 5 year contract is 5 separate 1 year contracts and charge me $1000!
