Comp USA Complaint - Defective Products - Olevia 32 Inch TV

Olevia 32 Inch TV - Complaint
Review by lee268 on 2007-07-21
FRESNO, CALIFORNIA -- Bought a 32 in high-def TV and within 21 days it went out, had extended warranty, but they won't cover it until after manufacturers warranty is out, in fact manager stated to me, thats what you get for only spending $600.00, And if we get sued we will beat it every time, because our warranty policy states after 21 days we are not liable for manufacturers defects, nor do they cover them, they also stated to me that if I took them to court they would win anyways, because they have the 21 day return policy up there for their benefit, this is my opinion, it is nice for a company to knowingly take your money, but when you want them to do what is right and give customer satisfaction, that is something they are not capable of doing or willing to do........When I was there with my money they took care of my every want and needs, after they got my money it was a totally different situation...

I will never buy there ever again.

I am a bit confused. Why didn't you return it?

Horse hockey. The TV went out within 21 days. Their returns policy states they will exchange before the 21 days are up. But you don't say that you returned the TV in time or at all. The managers statement is correct because their extended warranty (joke that it is) really doesn't provide coverage until the manufacturers warranty expires. As a bit of a side note they make little profit on those $600 sets. That could be why the manager gave you the brush off.

JayD,

I was thinking the same thing. Also, next time you buy a HDTV spend a little money and get a reputable brand. Olevia's are junk, which is why they are 1/3 of the price of a Sony.
