Time Warner Complaint - Customer Service Stinks
NEW PHILADELPHIA, OHIO -- After my parents making 10 phone calls to Time Warner after losing cable service on Thursday, July 19 after a storm around 3:00 a.m., they have been given the proverbial run-around. They were told 3 different times that someone would be out to repair their service. They lost one TV to lightning and possibly 2 others, the insurance company advised them to wait until the cable service was restored to see if the other 2 TV's were also fried. Today I decided to call the 800 repair service number, only to be given the same run-around and to be told, just as they had told my father, they had no record of anyone calling with service problems. Are these people for real??? Who the hell do they think they are to lie to their customers. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after being put on hold for 10 minutes, was told that none were available and that they would call me back. Yea right. Saturday that is what they told my father after his 6th phone call. "Someone would call him back within an hour", 3 hours later no one called back. I finally drove to the local cable office where we pay our bill (couldnt call, because they have no phone number listed), they assured me that a repairman would be there sometime today and that they would credit his bill for the days he did not have service. BIG DEAL. Apparently our time and patience are of no value to the idiots at Time Warner.... The whole country needs to boycott this corporate giant and let them know that we are mad as hell and we will not take it anymore. I was told by the (barely-english) speaking person that I spoke to at the 800 number, that they would get someone out today between 8 am and 8 pm when it was convenient for them or when they were in the area. Maybe we should all pay our bills to them, when it is convenient for us. What ever happened to customer service????? They are the merchant and we are the customer. I am on a mission to inform everyone that I know, to opt for satellite and forgo Time Warner. They are the worst I have ever dealt with. They are outright liars. To put senior citizens through this run-around for 6 days, keeping them on hold, and then telling them the next time they call that they have no record of their original calls, to keep them sitting at home waiting, and then doing nothing. The government needs to intervene and stop this monopolizing giant of these unfair practices toward their paying customers.
