JCWhitney.com Complaint - The Problem! - Car Audio

Review by AllenMcGregor on 2007-07-25
SIERRA VISTA, ARIZONA -- Customer Service Dept. are always the main problem of an Online Auto Parts Retailer Company, just like JC Whitney even though they offer quality and cheap car parts, the customer service agents makes the ordering even harder for us customers espeacially when they sound so unsure of what they are saying... Just like what happened to me last month when I order a JVC 4" Dual Cone Speaker, I calle their customer service dept nos. and the ask some very basic information about the item that I'm about to purchase and the agent sounds very unsure about his answers and because of that I began to doubht their service.

I have dealt with JC Whitney for years, always ordering from the catalog. Pardon me for saying this, Allen, but your post shows a level of sophistication where one might believe that JC Whitney will have experts on the stuff they sell working the phones. No, my friend, the person on the phone probably has less information about the products than you do in the catalog. If you want to know about the product, contact the maker of hte product and ask them your questions, then call Whitney.

You should ask to be transfered to "product information". In theory they should know more than the typical teeny bopper in customer service but like anywhere there's bound to be a bad apple in the bunch. Also the women seem to be more knowledgeable about car parts than the men. Go figure.
