RCA/Thomson INC Informative - Poor service/ junk equipment

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA -- I purchased a 32 in LCD TV at Walmart. I also purchased the extended warranty. Less than a year, the TV features had stopped working. I call the company. Was told to send the TV to them. A mailng label was sent out 3 weeks later. I hade to locate a box to fit the TV. After looking all over the city & also at Walmart, I had to have UPS build a box that was good for shipment $52. Fed-EX would not accept the TV otherwise. The compant refused to send a box. They offered a TV if I gave them access to a credit card to apply $1300 so they would wait for me to return the defective TV. I mailed the TV, told to wait 7 to 10 business days for a NEW Tv. Well that was on June 23rd. Today, I have not gotten a TV. I have called mant times & each time I get a different story. They don't have any right now. Mamm, call back next week. I have wrote letters to the stock holders & gotten nowhere. This is the biggest rip off ever. In tracking where the TV was mailed to, there is no such place. The mailing label is fauce. There are aeveral repairs electronics warehouses in Texas. This has been a nightmare for me. I total waste of money. Please do not but the RCS products. They are the Thomson Company & they treat the consumer like dirt. Walmart has also not stood behind this TV. They have been notifyed also. RCA is junk TThe tv was packed by UPS at a cost to me. Yes, Fedex had the shipping label. Fedex would not pack the TV. After having it packed, I then took it to Fedex. No, I did not give a credit card number. That was an option given to me by Thomson Electronics. The share holders that I emailed were at Thomson not Walmart.

Did you give them your credit card number? If you did then get a new card ASAP. Go back to either UPS or FedEx (You had UPS build a box to ship from FedEx?) with the tracking number. They should be able to find out exactly where the TV went. If you did not ship the TV with insurance then you might be SOL. Without insurance the carrier pays nothing if it turns out they delivered to a 'false' address or lost it.

Which stokholders? Wal*Mart? If so, I didn't get the letter. Please resend and I'll get right on it.

You went to UPS to build a box for shipment via FedEx? Did you also contact Target about the repair of your TV?

This letter is v-e-r-y confusing!
