DaimlerChrysler Informative - Repeat of Jeep Not Starting
ANCORAGE, ALASKA -- We bought a new Jeep Liberty in the fall of 2006. At about 13,000 miles my wife went out at lunch and the vehicle didn't start. The dealer, Lithia Chrysler Jeep of Anchorage, received the vehicle. They started it numerous times and could not duplicate the problem. On July 3rd 2007 the vehicle again refused to start. The same dealer hauled the vehicle in again. This time they had it for 10 days. 1st they say that they changed the replay pack and starter. It took a week to get the starter. Then when I called the Lithia customer service the lady just put me back in touch with the dealer. At this time I called Chrysler and they had their techs get in touch with the dealer. They had the vehicle fixed in 2 days after that. This happened during my vacation and was a total pain. My wife lives 30 miles from work and the dealer is over 50 miles from our home. When we got the Jeep back, the dealer had it a total of 10 days. The invoice only says 2 days. I will not buy another Jeep product again because of this dealer. Also if it takes a week to get something like a starter I will not buy again. My last Jeep lasted over 270,000 miles and is still going.
Guess they don't make them like they used to.
