Complaint - No Response - Dealership Sales

Review by austinandie on 2007-07-28
IRVING, TEXAS -- This is based merely on Internet/email and phone communications since I could not get a response to visit this dealership other than a "we will call you back".

I am shopping for another CRV. I asked each dealership/salesman for their base cost, out the door (with TTL & taxes) and several accessories. I contacted this dealership and got several emails from Kevin the "Internet Sales Consultant". I kept emailing Kevin back and got no response...just generic emails asking if I was "still interested". I got an email from the general manager who asked if I was "still interested". I responded back that I had financing and was looking for a new CRV.

I got no response.

I called today and asked to speak to someone about stopping by to get a new car. The manager said someone would call me back. No one did.

When I spoke to the manager I advised that I wanted to get the base price they charge on the specific CRV I wanted. He stated they only had one fee and they could not keep them on the lot....they did not negotiate prices.

So I guess they don't care if they sell any new vehicles....

For those of you who don't know, there is a large drive to secure more customers via the web. More and more customers are doing preliminary shopping via the web (via Edmunds and, so getting a response is not just important to me, as a customer, but also to the industry who is trying to gain that Internet group of buyers.

So go to the dealerships that did respond to your questions.

You don't show up in person but want them to bend down and kiss your you know what via email. I'm guessing they were busy waiting on live customers who did take the time to stop by. I undrestnd not feeling they have the best service, but to complain on the net over that? Geez, who wants your business.

If you want to find specific deal information, you ask a specific dealer. I did go to the dealerships that answered my questions. They were very helpful. This comment was aptly stated in that it was qualified by the contact criteria. When you put in the vehicle you want under Edmunds, they sent it to specific dealers and you wait for them to respond.

Internet information is great, but if no dealers in your area honor it, it is useless. So it is important to try and schedule a visit.

If you WORK at a dealership you list your information and rebuttals to legitimate criticisms under slimjimjohnson2000 or respond with a stupid comments that make no sense.
