Goodson Honda West Complaint - Cheating, Dishonest Honda Dealership
HOUSTON, TEXAS -- I am a valued customer of Honda vehicles; however, at my last visit to the Honda dealership at Goodson Honda West located on 10250 Old Katy Road, Houston, TX 77043, I am extremely unsatisfied and upset with the dishonesty and poor customer service. I have purchased many Honda vehicles at various dealerships, but I have never been mistreated or disrespected the way Goodson Honda has treated me.
On July 24, 2007, I visited Goodson Honda and expressed interest in one of the Honda Pilots. I signed a form, agreeing to the price and the offered features of the vehicle, and I deposited $3,000 for the down payment. The sales representative made a copy of my credit card to determine the interest rates. After finding out that the interest rates are too high. I declined the purchase. However, the salesperson refused to cancel it, forcing me to choose from their two options: I will either lose $300 for the amount of time that the salesperson has invested for their service or the dealership will hold my $3,000 if I later choose to purchase the vehicle. They stated that it was Honda’s policy.
Please keep in mind that before I signed the form and deposited $3,000, they NEVER explained this policy to me. They also NEVER gave me any copies of the paperwork, and when I asked for it, they said that they have not done any paperwork besides copying my credit card. All they said was that before I sign all the financial-settlement forms, I am not held responsible, whatsoever, for the purchase nor held responsible for any fee deductions. They said that they were simply checking my credit to determine my eligibility. As a result, I chose none of the choices and talked to the F&I manager – Mr. Clarence Davies – who was extremely helpful and understanding. He agreed that I have every right to decline the purchase since no financial agreement has been signed, but when I talked to the manager’s boss (I do not remember his name), he harassed me and said that they cannot give me full refund; I had no choice but to accept the option of losing my $300.
As stated above, I was harassed and I requested proof of their policy, but they did not show any. Therefore, I feel insulted, cheated, and offended because before the transaction, they should have informed me about their policy (if there is such as declared by Goodson dealership). I have never been to a Honda dealership of this type – who would prefer to cheat their customers than to provide customer satisfaction. Rest assure that I will never return to any Goodson dealership nor will my family and friends.
Therefore, I am writing this complaint with that someone will further investigate this matter and bring justice to my case and for all of those innocent individuals who have been cheated and harassed by these sales representatives.
