Colonex 700 Informative - Can't Cancel - Colonex 700

Review by harleyman on 2007-07-30
CALIFORNIA -- I didn't sign any agreement. There is no way to cancel. You call them and they put you on hold till you have to hang up. The web sight they tell you to go to , isn't there. I called my credit card company and told them I wasn't paying.

It doesn't matter if you sign anything or not. If you read the fine print, you will find that by accepting the 'free' sample, you are commiting to being shipped teh useless pills monthly and allowing the company to withdraw the funds from your account. You want to do things your way, and that really doesn't work. BTW, please kill your caps, it is considered shouting and is very rude, also very hard to read.

I Googled Colonex 700 and found this site: www.colonex700.com/

Scroll to the very bottom and click on terms and conditions, there you will find why you are being charged, an email address as well as a phone # to call and cancel.

These websites make most of their money on the unsuspecting and on those that either don't have the time to search for the fine print, or are naive enough to believe in the honesty of others.

I got scammed the same way once by a software company that advertised 'free' software. Nowhere anywhere on their several pages of website did they mention any subscription or monthly charges. But there it was, buried in the fine print of the TOS. I contacted the FTC and spoke to a gentleman there. I told him he probably had more important cases of fraud to deal with, and that he might not even consider this to be deceptive trade practice. He asked me... "Were you deceived?" I said yes. He said..."Well then, it's deceptive trade practice" (ie fraud). It's just that simple.

Contact the company in question by email and in writing refuting the charges and then dispute the charge with your credit card company, giving the cc company copies of the correspondence you sent to the defrauding company. The charges should be removed within a month.

I never even logged onto Colonex site and never even HEARD of this product. I DID, however, sign up for a teeth-whitening kit and AFTER checkout, I got a pop-up saying that I qualified for a "complimentary gift of Colonex 700" The next day I got slammed with and 89.97 charge on my mastercard, I called the company and got he message as Roseythorns...please email support@colonex700. Haven't heard anything as of yet.
There is a special bureau for internet crimes, and I think if enough people report this abuse something HAS to be done about it.

MsMindy, the bad news is Colonex 700 and the teeth-whitening kit are both complete scams. They share your info and put you on auto ship programs. It's in the very small fine print. They bait you in with the free trial, once they have your CC or bank info they go to town charging you what ever they want and when ever they want.

Most people that have come thru here with the same complaints have often had to close CC and bank accounts to keep these crooks from stealing there money.

So, what do I tell my cc company? That my card was stolen? Or that an internet company is charging fraudulent charges? I'm sooooo mad about this?!!! And the bad part about my situation is that I have HORIBLE credit and am using a prepaid card that I get my financial aid deposited onto, so if I do report as stolen I'm not sure I'll get my funds back!

You're in between a rock and a hard place on this one then. It's a little late but never sign up for anymore of these quote "free trails" on the Internet, they are never free. If you dispute the charges Colonex 700 will come back and say you agreed to the charges and dig up some obscure terms that you agreed to when you took the offer. So they can probably beat you on that one. You can try a dispute and see where it goes, you may get lucky and win.

The bad news is these crroks have your CC info and will hit it again. So yes it may be time to report the card as lost. Or maybe just confess that you gave the number to some bad guys and want a new number issued. Your CC company even though it's pre-paid may be able to put a block for further charges from the low lifes too.

Do hope it all works out in your favor.

MsMindy, did you ever even get the Colonex 700? If you never got it that will work with your dispute. If you did get it, send it back Priority mail with a proof of delivery, not a signature as they will just refuse the return. Priority mail offers prood that it was deliverd without them having to sign for it.

Thanks for the response superbowl!! On the phone with my cc company and luckily my funds are insured up to $100K......and told then about the company and this website and all the complaints with this company, they are going to work with me, they said since I've tried to contact the merchant with no response that THEY will then try to contact the company (and more than likely the company will not respond to them) and thus will be considered fraudulent and the funds will be deposited back into my account and teh comapany will be reported to the internet crimes bureau....so we'll see!!!

Thanks so much

Also, EVERYONE complaining on THIS site needs to register with RipoffReport.com They allow you to file complaints and enough people filing a complaint on a particular comapany....results in action!! Come on,don't be a victim, stand up and be accounted for!!! We may not move the mountain, but we sure as hell can take the side off of it!!

Sorry Mindy, we come to this site because most of us have had some dealings with that "other" site and prefer it here.

True Hugh, Ed is nothing nice over there.
Posted by Anonymous on 2008-09-04:
The harleyman wanted a nice clean can,
so he sent these folks his dough.
Not reading fine print before it was sent,
he's now paying through his a-ho.
A call to his lender about this cleanser,
should put an end to this show.

The last thing I would consider is helping ED in anyway with his criminal RICO activities. I therefore have no active registration nor post at that cyber-rag.
Posted by MsMindy on 2008-09-04:
SORRY all, I'm new to ALL these sites......what wrong with Rippoffreport and who is ED.....if everyone is downing him and his site, I'd LOVE to know why and think I SHOULD know,s o I don't make a mistake and register, as I have NOT yet? At the very least all these complaints need to be filed with ICB.
Posted by Slimjim on 2008-09-04:
Ok, I'll go first. ED (as he likes to spell it with both uppercase), is the owner/operator of the website. Magedson allegedly controls the site's content to benefit himself via somewhat basic extortion techniques. Again, all alleged and never proven. I'm just repeating what I've heard, lol. There are many anti-ed sites out there now. This one is one of my favorites and I noticed they still are keeping it updated. Bully for their tenaciousness!.
