LINGO Complaint - Charges without service
SEATTLE -- I hope there is a lawyer reading this review who's interested in starting a class action suit against Lingo for charging for services that it doesn't provide. I can only cancel service EXACTLY 10 days before the end of the month. If you call even 9 days before the end of the month, you are charged for the entire next month. If you call earlier than 10 days, they will NOT take your cancellation. Of course they won't cancel with an email and you can find any information whatsoever on how to cancel on their website, which is far and away the primary way to reach them. I had to call three times to get through. The first time I was sent to a voicemail after 1/2 hour of holding. The second time I was told the number does not exist after pressing the option to cancel.
Not only that but there is a $40 cancellation fee. It's just not worth my time to keep calling them when they make it so difficult.
I'm just wondering if it is legal for them to charge for services they haven't given. Aren't these charges regulated by the FCC?
