Dish Network Complaint - Poor customer service and repair
NEBO, NORTH CAROLINA -- Well it all started with an electrical storm. It fried both receivers, the dish and TVs. That was on Wednesday July 25th, 2007. Called customer service's automated piece of crap. Got a person in the Phillipines. Could barely understand them. She said I needed a technician but it would cost me $49.99 unless I agreed to their repair service plan of $5.99 a month and then it would only be $29.99. So I said whatever just get someone out there to fix. They set it up for July 29th between 12:00 and 5:00. Well we missed church to be there at 12:00. At 4:00 someone called and said they are running late. My husband was livid. He said someone better get here this evening. Well someone come but they did not have one thing to fix it with. Did not bring new receivers or anything. Did not even have down that lightning had struck the system. Apparently in the Phillipines they do not know what an electrical storm is and what it means by the receiver had been struck and fried with soot out the back. Well then they rescheduled it and the technician said they would have to replace the whole system because yes it was destroyed by the lightning. Well isn't that amazing. They rescheduled for the work to be done Tuesday July 31, 2007 (today) between 12:00 and 5:00. The technician did call last night and said he would call 30 minutes before he came. Well it is 4:00 and no call. Their customers can not get in touch with anyone about their service calls or the technician that is assigned to their call. This is the biggest mess I have ever come in contact with. People we have to get something done about this monopoly. They need to come down. If they do not show up today I am dropping them and going back to my old antenna and spend more time enjoying my family. That's the way it should be.
