Kentucky Fried Chicken Complaint - KFC Resturants and Corporate not Customer Friendly - Service at Resturants and Corporate Response

Service at Resturants and Corporate Response - Complaint
Review by pattyw on 2007-08-01
MEMPHIS,, TENNESSEE -- I used to frequent 4 different KFC'S. As of June this year I vowed to never visit another one ever again, despite the fact that they are the only chicken franchise my whole family eats. My main three reasons are:

Reason one: THE ORDER FILLERS CAN NOT COUNT. My paid for order and 15 pieces had 9.

Reason two: THE ORDER FILLERS DO NOT KNOW THE PARTS OF A CHICKEN. The nationally advertised LEG AND THIGH ONLY Bucket had WINGS AND BREASTS==Despite the fact that when I asked the order taker if I could get more legs than thighs and was told they could not substitute.

Reason three: I have called the corporate phone number on my receipts 3to 4 times with in the months of April and May to complain. It is automated. You are constantly punching in #s on your phone. I answered yes to being called back by the store managers==NONE EVER CALLED. (I have yet to find a Customer Service Website to write)

IN OTHER WORDS THE COMPANY HIRE DUMMIES AND LIARS WITH NO PEOPLE SKILLS AND OBVIOUSLY CORPORATE DOES NOT CARE TO HEAR ABOUT THEIR LOUSY SERVICE SKILLS. SO WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THEIR INTEGRITY AND RESPONSIBILITY TO THEIR CUSTOMERS? I CAN AND WILL BE FRYING MY OWN CHICKEN. LIKE KFC's ATTITUDE, MY FAMILY WILL JUST HAVE TO GET USED TO IT AND LIKE IT!!

It's fast food. Minimum wage people doing the job no one else wants. Better service = more in salaries = no $4.99 chicken buckets. With any of them, check your orders and don't be surprised if they are sometimes wrong. It's the nature of the beast.

You need a vacation. Come out to Disneyland and relax. And out here, KFC hires people who can count and know the parts of chicken. Just don't yell at them.

PW, surely you can find a better chicken joint than that in Memphis. KENTUCKY has better chicken joints than KFC if you are not afraid of stray bullets.

"My paid for order and 15 pieces had 9."

This line has warped my fragile little mind.

What is with people and typing in caps. Used to emphasize something, one or two words, is fine. But you guys go to hell with a joke. The administrators will eventually correct the typing so it is regular, so why cant you type in regular format when posting? the typing in caps as you have makes you sound like a lunatic. If you have a complaint, post it in a calm manner in regular format. When you go ape with the caps, it sounds like ranting and raving. sli8mjim is right. Just as with security, higher pay will get better people, but you will have higher prices, too. Make up your mind which you want. Good food at low prices, even with some errors, or espert service and error free order at high prices. YOU CAN'T HAVE BOTH!!

I AGREE WITH STARLORD...IF THERE'S ONE THING I CAN'T STAND IS WHEN PEOPLE POST WITH ALL CAPS...THAT IS CONSIDERED YELLING...BASHER NEVER YELLS AT PEOPLE AND I THINK ADMIN SHOULD DELETE THOSE WHO DO! ! !

You people are horrible, lol.

With regards to the OP: I know it sucks that they screw up the orders... but that's why I never order a bundle of chicken from the drive thru, not to mention it's a waste of gas, I do that inside the store so I can verify the contents before I head out.

And also, it's a fast food restaurant not a 5 star nationally critiqued restaurant. Those people only make what 6 bucks an hour? AND they have to listen to people yell at them everyday? Come on...

Patty,

If you had Googled the real corporate office for KFC you would have gotten this information. KFC is part of an Organization, a Corporation if you will and they are called Yum! Here is the information you can use to get your complaint heard, make sure you have store #'s as well:

Contact Yum! Brands
Restaurant Support Center

HI PATTY, WELCOME ABOARD, AND AS YOU CAN TELL MOST MEMBERS AREN’T FOND OF ALL CAPS. Just tap that caps lock key and you are home free. I gather your family is fond of all dark meat and you received white meat in your order, you paid for a 15 piece container and received 9 pieces and contacted Corporate and have not received a response.

When you stated: IN OTHER WORDS THE COMPANY HIRE DUMMIES AND LIARS WITH NO PEOPLE SKILLS AND OBVIOUSLY CORPORATE DOES NOT CARE TO HEAR ABOUT THEIR LOUSY SERVICE SKILLS I had to comment on that one. You had your order messed up and are angry: however, calling their workers dummies isn't very kind. Slim made an excellent point and Starlord added to it.

Many FF workers are high achiever HS students, taught the work ethic by their family, and college students attempting to assist the family with tuition and helping with expenses. Don't find fault with all of them because of a few bad apples.

Wow pattyw, grouping people as a whole and calling them dummies? Guilty by association is wrong in most cases, this being one of them. They couldn't substitute pieces? I think thats a bunch of crap, we do it at our KFC store all the time!
Sorry you had a bad time with that store, perhaps it's a bad store, believe me, they are out there. I hear constant complaints about the other KFCs in my area, thats why people come to our store, because we're number 1 in the area. Maybe you should find out where the number one store is in your area, or you could just fry your own chicken as you said.

I ate at a KFC in Sioux City, Ia. on Gordon Dr., I asked that they put more original legs out on the buffet. They said they had limited legs to use and needed to keep what they had to fill any drive up orders they might get.
You've got a paying customer right now, and you're worried about filling the orders of customers who haven't even come there.

Hey Patty.... There used to be a rib joint called Blues Alley in Memphis that was known for their wet ribs. Is it still there? The last time I was there was in 1979.

You're right table tipper, but think of this, there are plenty of gluttons out that that want a 20 piece meal with all legs in crispy, They HAVE to be in crispy, and the HAVE to be all legs (in their mind), they think they're so important that they should be catered to with what ever picky demands they have. They don't realize that theres only so many legs available at a time, and that KFC refrains from cooking too much in order to reduce their waste when the store closes. Theres 2 different kinds of cases, white meat and dark meat, if you cook a case of dark, theres only so many legs and thighs available. Then you get the picky people that want only legs in their meal, can't cook more dark meat because theres still a whole bunch of thighs sitting in the window and the warmers. So you see, in your situation, someone came through and took all your legs first. Supply and demand, first come first serve.

My experience was awful at the Bolivar Tennessee restaurant. When I pulled up to the drive through, the lady just simply kept walking by, looking at me and my niece, and didn't ask if she could help us at all. She finally went in the back of the restaurant where my fiance was working, and told him we were at the window. My fiance works in the back cooking chicken, and had to come to the drive through to take my order, and money. I became ill at this kind of service. Would have told the manager on duty, however, she was in the parking lot with another employee, shooting off fire works. I am sick and tired of the behavior I receive, and wish someone could take care of it. I am a paying customer, whether my fiance works there or not, and would like for once to be treated as such, but doesn't seem like things will change any time soon.
