Honda Informative - Cast Iron Exhaust Manifold
SNELLVILLE, GEORGIA -- I purchased my 2000 Honda Civic EX from Honda Southeastern in Melbourne Florida with less than 30,000 miles and for my own protection I purchased the extended warranty on March 2003. I believed through my own personal research that Honda made the most reliable vehicles’. I was WRONG!
I currently have $105,000 and my extended warranty was up 07/03/2007, and or $100,000, my check engine light came on 07/05/2007 at $105,000. I first took the vehicle to auto zone 07/11/2007, and they advised it was emissions problem. I took it to the dealership for review 07/31/2007 and $95.00 dollars later, it was found that my exhaust manifold was cracked and I needed a new O2 Censor. Estimating Cost $1000.00.
I have never even heard of this and then I continued to research and I found that there are thousands of Honda Consumers who have experienced the same problems from 96’ to 00’. I have only $2500.00 left to pay off this vehicle and I was considering purchasing a new Honda Accord, I am not so sure. I contacted Wayne, he advised me that I am out of my extended warranty and there is nothing to be done. He later asked to provide proof that I did all the maintenance that Honda requires. Honda is the one who misrepresented their products from the beginning, how can they be trusted now?
They can't, he made every excuse stating that this is my fault. What do you have to say about thousands of consumers who have experienced the same problem. Look on the internet for yourself, put in Honda exhaust manifold crack, and you can see for yourself.
This is an outrage!, I will continue in my fight to sound off against these companies that prey on innocent consumers, while there pockets to continue to get fat!
Never Buying a Honda Again
