American Airlines Complaint - Treament from your Supervisors on site - Airline Hosts....
NEW YORK -- To all that this May concern and all who May be thinking of flying on American Airlines,
IF you plan to fly AMERICAN AIRLINES, ITS OK IF YOU DON'T MIND BEING TREATED LIKE CATTLE.VERY DISAPPOINTED - NEVER AGAIN. FLOOR SUPERVISOR TO AIRLINE HOSTS - SERIOUS RETRAINING NEEDED.
I have been a frequent flier of American Airlines and finally on the last flight on May 13, 2007, I hit rock bottom. I was stopped and all my baggage were opened, yet for no apparent reason or explanation. That was fine. This held me back and delayed me from catching my flight on time since my carry-on baggage had to be opened and looked through. When they were asked why they were looking throught my baggage they had no explanation. I wondered if my new Bricks bags were going to be a target. Patiently I waited till they rummaged through all my books, computer, cell phone, and magazines and my pretty folding clothing. OK.
As I ran to catch my flight and finally getting at the gate, I was literally winded. The supervisor and workers at the gate looked at me annoyed. You look dizzy one woman said. I am, I replied. "I have been running to catch the flight because they stopped me downstairs". She then ordered - and I mean ordered me to sit down. I asked her to kindly let me on the plane and that I did not want to sit down. She told me I would not be on the plane because I did not look ok. I explained that the airport is large and I was running with my handbag and carry-on. Again she ordered me to sit. I expressed that I just wanted to get on the plane, and that I was fine. In a loud angry tone she said ' YOU ARE NOT FINE- AND ARE YOU ON MEDICATION? I lifted my head and thought I was in grade school. I could not believe what I was hearing and literally had to look at her again. I asked for the supervisor and she was IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I asked her what the problem was and what she was seeing in me that would make her respond that way other than, the fact that I was winded from running through a huge airport. I could see that someone had given this poor lady some power and she was running with it and had no clue where to go with it. She kept repeating that I was not going to get on the plane. I was starting to really feeling sick at this point from disbelief at what was happening. I asked for her name and for a higher up. I could see I was not going to get anywhere so I tried to alleviate the situation the best I could but she was ready for the kill. Finally, as I was writing her name down, she opened the gate to the plane and escorted me in. I could not believe the need for her to do this nor the power play needed here. When in the plane the hosts, played another tune while they ignored you if you needed something, or hissed or made noises under their breath. The whole experience felt like you were dealing with low budget people with no manners or values. There was hardly any positive interaction with the staff on the flight and it all seemed surreal. Maybe this is all happening since 911 and no one wants these jobs anymore however I never knew this airline to be this rude, obnoxious and totally out of control. As I stated I am quite sad, however things change and American has totally hit rock bottom and the supervisor on the floor on MAY 13,2007 needs to be examined and assessed because if someone is truly not well or she will make them worse if they they are well she will make them sick.
Very disappointed........never again!!!!
