Spirit Airlines Complaint - Spirit Airline Lost My Luggage And The Service Was Horrible
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA -- I just got back from costa rica yesterday and I live in las vegas. I traveled from las vegas paying 10 usd for them to put my luggage on the plane. There was a lay over in ft. Lauderdale and then off we went to costa rica. After waiting for all of the luggage to be taken off and finding out my luggage was not there..I went to a help desk where there was one man and he gave me a number to call in case it comes in at midnight. While I was waiting I saw 3 other individuals with the same problem as mine "lost luggage."
Well at midnight I called the number and got a recording...So I waited till the daytime business hour. In costa rica it is only at 1 pm - till 3 pm...This nobody told me. I had to take a taxi there which will probably not be reimbursed by the airline 25 usd each way..To run around the airport to find out who to talk to and wait for 3 hours to see if my baggage had shown up....All of this can be avoided if someone would pick up their phones and search for me. So the next day I called again and it was not there and no one contacted my hotel..Oh it took all day of calling 3 different numbers before I got an answer instead of a recording saying the message box was full. In my luggage were some brand new clothes that I just purchased for the trip and medications that was very important and some gifts for my friends and a translating book and toiletries.
The clothing and toiletries and gifts I can buy there at a higher price for lower quality but my medication was impossible to get down there. I broke out in rashes that prevent my blood from circulating and causing the jointed area to swell and making it difficult for me to be mobile in a country that I don't speak the main language. This vacation quickly became a nightmare without medications. Knowing that I had to purchase clothing also I had to settle for a lower price hotel that was not very comfortable. This vacation went out of my budget and influence my health and now I am so glad to be back at home and swear never to fly with them again. I have made 10 attempts to get a live person on the phone since I have been back about how to file my claim. Hahahaha....I cant get anyone. All I got is a yellow piece of paper with my luggage sticker on it and don't know what to do with it.
