Cellular Blowout Informative - False Advertising/Deceiving Practices

Review by jcg1946 on 2007-08-06
AGOURA HILLS, CALIFORNIA -- I ordered a cellular phone from this company more than a month ago. After numerous phone calls and e-mails I received an email asking me to call their phone number to change my order just to comply with legal issues but provided I had never call them , this case would have been closed resulting in my money lost forever.

Please, advise other consumers through this medium to be careful with with these people and watch for their deceiving practices.

I am still trying to get another different phone from cellular blowout but I have the feeling this is not going to have a happy ending.

Thanks for posting this warning.

So the deceptive part is that they asked you to call them concerning your order?

No, Ken.
The deception is for them trying the last minute to look good by e-mailing me on the subject after numerous unanswered phone calls (many) and e-mails sent to them.
In most of my phone call messages left to this people I asked them to please, send me another phone if at all possible. The last answer was to call the company to arrange just that one month later.
When contacting the Company by phone, they do not answer their phones. I had always to leave a message and wait for nothing.
False advertising came when they asked me to settle for another phone after I saw the same day the same phone advertised again in their internet add.
Today, finally, someone from this Company called me this afternoon with the promise that the phone I ordered was available again and that it was going to be mailed to me in two days.
The main point here is frustration: who wants to wait for more than a month to get an article delivered to him/her? Who needs the agravation and disilussion of having to beg for something you already paid for?
I hope this answer your question, Ken.

CELLULAR BLOWOUT is a total scam. I've seen on other complaint sites where "satisfied customers" post glowing reviews, but I noticed that they all had the same post date and the same email address but just different "Handles". They still have $400 of MY money and I still have not product.

I ordered 2 phones from this company over 2 years ago. I receive emails from them periodically to let me know that the phones I ordered are still "out of stock." These phones are now obsolete. I call the phone number and can't get a person to answer. I think I got screwed. I'm out over $200.00. NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS WEBSITE!!!
