Citicards Complaint - It's bad business to be mean
CALIFORNIA -- I don't blame the individual customer service people for being nasty. They're trained to tell the customer no. But when you've made the big mistake of over paying your account by $12,000 and you don't have that in your checking account you need some one with an idea or at least a little compassion. The nasty manager in customer service kept reading me the rule book. The only solution was to have me fill out a form, mail it in, an wait 30 days for a check. Sure I've got $12K to loan them for a month. Meanwhile I'm on Overdraft which cost. She yelled at me for calling her "honey" when I explained I can't wait 30 days.
My solution was to take a cash advance of $8,000 (Citi's max per day) which cost $240 Cash Advance fee. Why should I pay when I've got a credit balance? Why should anything take 30 days?
There is always some one a level or two above who can reverse the bank charges. After 3 call I reached that man. He reversed the charge but still had to treat me like a loser. Hey Citicard, You made thousands of dollars off me each year. I don't play with people who don't treat me nice. There's a lot of other cards in the playground.
