JVC Company of America Complaint - Lack of Warranty Service

WAYNE, NEW JERSEY -- On May 9th of this year I purchased a JVC GR-DVL520U in Singapore from an authorized sales center in Singapore. It was fully warranteed I was told, camera is US spec camera, has warranty card that says I must call an office in New Jersey in US for service. I now have a warranty issue and have been fighting with US service center over this issue. They refuse to repair the camera, which has only been used once! They say purchase outside of US, in this case in Singapore, must be repaired in the country of origin. My warranty specifically states that Warranty Repairs may only take place within continental US and Canada. It seems I am in a spot and JVC in the US refuses to assist me in any way whatsoever, including a refusal to put me in touch with Japanese mother company. I want either a new camera or a repair on this one as I was promised when I purchased the camera. I ask only what JVC promises all of it's customers.
