Mexicali, BC, MX Informative - Mexicali an adventure in food.

MEXICALI -- Many people choose to stay away from Mexican border towns such as Juarez, and Tijuana due to the crime and other conditions surrounding the area.

I know of a Mexican border town that is tourist friendly. This towns name is Mexicali. Mexicali is located across the border from Calexico, Ca and is the Capital city of the state of Baja California, Mexico.

Mexicali is said to have the best Chinese food in the world, served at a restaurant called "El Rincon de Panchito". This restaurant is so good that the former President of Mexico Vicente Fox has been seen dining there in the recent past. Tejano artist Ramon Ayala has been seen a couple of times as well. I can also vouch for this restaurant. It is amazing.

If you are a Sushi lover, the best Mexicali has to offer is served at Sushi Villa Fontana. I have eaten authentic Japanese Sushi, and I have eaten Sushi made in Mexico. The Mexican stuff takes the cake as far as flavor is concerned.

In order to really get the taste on Mexicali, you must try the corner hot dog and taco carts. They vary as far as taste and what is available, but every place has its own flavor. Most people are squeamish about eating at outdoor taco and hot dog carts in Mexico, there is nothing to fear. I have never got sick eating at a taco cart in Mexico. The food at those places is always good.

If you love food, and are willing to try something new, Mexicali, BC is an adventure for the entire family.

LOL, My wife and I operated a hot dog cart until our health went south on us. We offered a cute menu with such treats sa prairie dogs, armadillos, javelina, and so on, Everything was mesquite smoked, and people still ask when we will come back. We dream of having a stationary hot dog place called the Dawg Haus, giving a bit of the redneck and German flavors there.
