Orbitz Complaint - Orbitz's horrible service
MINNESOTA -- I tried to book a flight using my bank debit card thru ORBITZ & was told that they couldn't take my debit card & make the airline reservation. Several hours later VIA computer I was online checking my bank account/debit card. ORBITZ had managed to debit my account $478 (price of airlines ticket); $25 (2 times for what I don't know); $6.99 (3 times for what I don't know)..I've spend hours & several days trying to get ORBITZ to credit back my account & I have pages of emails from them stating it was their error. I've also talked to ORBITZ customer service reps many times & although they have assured me that the total of $528 would be credited back to my account immediately > I've been waiting 4 days now & ORBITZ has not followed thru. I looked ORBITZ up on the internet regarding complaints. You should do the same & read the nightmares they've caused people. Now I've found out that ORBITZ is under investigation by the Attorney General's office in 20 states; National Transportation Dept.; U.S. Dept of Justice..Wanna nightmare w/your vacation plans w/a company that has absolutely no class/under educated sales reps/lousy customer service > use ORBITZ for your holiday plans...Good luck....ORBITZ is also one of 9 affiliates of TRAVELPORT...
I even contacted TRAVELPORT about what I consider theft/fraud on the behalf of ORBITZ. I was told by TRAVELPORT that they would investigate & get to me immediately > 4 days now & I've heard nothing from TRAVELPORT.
