Perryville Prison Complaint - Suspended - Visitation

Review by Corazon on 2007-08-08
GOODYEAR, ARIZONA -- I was at Perryville Prison getting ready to visit my partner when I was waiting in the vending area till she came up a Porter Inmate had picked up my infant from his carrier without my permission and got me suspended. Officer Flores had stated that she had seen it happen but she was no where around. I have four visitors that saw the whole thing but the Warden won't listen to us Civilians like we have no rights. The Warden say's He believe's his Officer's That they never lie. I was at the vending machine while a friend was watching the baby and the porter just came up and got him out of his carrier. I have been going to the Prison since December 2006 so everyone gets to know everyone. I was suspended because the Warden doesn't give Civilians a fair chance. He say's his word is final and no one can over ride him. Yes I know the rules and leaving him with a friend is not wrong. The part that was wrong was the inmate doing what she knew she could get away with and knew I would get the consequences.

First of all, someone that I don't know would never get close enough to my child to pick them up without my permission. Where were you and why did this happen? It sounds like you knew what the rules were and weren't paying attention? We need more details.
