Went to purchase new bendix brake pads, but got the surprise of the day. The clerk quoted a price for bendix brakes and I said that is fine, the whole time he is on the phone talking to someone else. When it came time to ask about new rotors all hell broke lose. New bendix rotor prices were quoted, and I asked if he had something less expensive, and he said no there is no others in stock in this store, but we have more expensive ones, so I said could you check your rodi rd store down the street. For some reason this set him off and he got real obnoxious with me, so I said just forget the whole thing and started to walk out, he started mumbling all kinds of 4 letter words, so I stopped turned around and said what did you say ,but he kept it up, so I said where is your manager and he started yelling, right back there, and yelled hey Bob customer has a complaint, went back to see Bob, and told him how obnoxious he was, Bod said,"I'll take care of it".

When I left the store I stood outside bewildered thinking did this really happen, I have been coming to this store since it opened never had a ordeal like this, so I went to one of their competitors bought new brakes went home installed the brakes but will never go back to an advance auto store.

I have had good experiences with Advanced. Don't let that jerk keep you away. What competitor did you go to?

Seen these auto store clerks argue with people about what they have for an engine. Friend had a 84 Ram 4x4 with a 75 440 big block and the Autozone "expert" said a 440 wouldnt fit in that truck and it should have a 350 in it. I guess Jethro doesnt understand that Dodge used this body style from 72-93.
