InfomercialRatings.com Informative - Thank You!! - Reviews Of Infomercial Products!!

Review by luisteal on 2007-08-10
Word for the wise. Any product that is advertised on an informercial can potentially be a scam, as a matter of fact, many are below average in performance and their claims.

INFOMERCIALRATINGS.COM and INFOMERCIALSCAMS.COM are in more ways than one MONEY SAVERS.

I speak from experience when I say that I have been a "Sucker" for the many wonderfully advertised products in infomercials and I have paid dearly for believing every word they sold me.

I looked on the Web for a site that could help me determine If something I saw in an informercial was a good product based on actual people's opinion and I found the above Websites. These are regular folks, who obviously have purchased the products they review and who thanks to these sites leave their opinions for individuals such as me with a need to know what is what.

I TRULY BELIEVE THAT THE KINDNESS AND EFFORT OF CONSUMERS SUCH AS THESE MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD WHEN IT COMES TO FINDING THE PLAIN TRUTH ABOUT A PRODUCT, SERVICE, WHATEVER.

Today, I went to their sites once again and I find they are being sued by one of the companies that consumers reported as being a "bad deal". Of course they would do that. Without the warning of others they basically can get away with "ripping off" countless consumers with impunity, and I for one have no sympathy for companies that target me as a "sucker", thinking they can overcharge me, sell me an inferior product and generally abuse me as a consumer. Yes, I like to buy things when I can afford it, I seldom watch an infomercial that does not do a great job! The producers of these shows make sure they are going to sell whatever they are "pitching". They hire honest looking citizens (I wonder how much an hour?) and in half an hour the innocent consumers are heading for financial and stressful times.

Thanks for the liberty to express oneself, that beautiful right that allows people to tell people what they think about anything. If you read this take the time to go to Infomercialratings.com and Informercialscams.com and chances are you will realize how beneficial these two sites are for the average consumers.
I am not being paid to write this, it just upset me to see how the big corporation want to "silence" the voice of reason with money so they can promote and profit from and inferior product or service or whatever, depriving the consumer of any inch of awareness. How much easier it would be for them to have no one say anything of the "baloney" they preach? How many more would keep giving them money?

I once was told by a lovely lady that happens to work for the post office: "If you don't find it at Walmart or Target, you probably do not need it".
Thank you for reading. It is time to turn my TV on and see what new infomercial happens to catch my eye! Long Live America and Its Wonderful People!

Very good review. Crystal sent for one of the Video Professor CDs and we sent the package back when we realized that a partial lesson would do us no earthly good, and that the way the CDs were packaged and assembled, we would have to paya large amount for an example of a program we would have to turn around and purchase on top of old Baldy's rip-off. We never got the refund promised in the ads. I see now that he is offering $10 in addition to the shipping and handling. So that is $16.95 you ain't getting back. Multiply that by an estimated 1,000 means that Baldy gets to stick $16,950.00 in his pocket without providing any product at all.

The Video Professor is just one more of the "rip-offs" that take place. These are cold blooded, money hungry, immoral corporations with the only aim to take as much money as they possibly can from average consumers. As you well pointed out with all the phone calls "Baldy" gets the law of average is on his side. What makes it more aggravating is that they lie with a straight face and and effective "sale formula". Sorry you had to go through the "baloney". I know that amazon.com offers some good learning software, recognized in the industry that might be of service. Also, when at all possible, specially when dealing with "shady" outfits it is recommende to use a Visa or any Credit Card with the "Buyer Protection" built in. They do work and for six months you can contest any unfair charges or business practices. Thank you for your comment and have a great summer!
