Comcast Cable Informative - Rip Off By The Cable Co.

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA -- Help. I am writing this because of the cable 1st of all I was being charged for movies I didn’t order I had 3 or 4 passwords and one of them was a call in password and one day I called comcast up about this stuff 1st I talked to a man and he said there was no one calling in for movies and he said he was going to have his boss call me back and she did. As I was talking to her she said there was movies were being ordered and it was a 100.00 Dollars of movies with in 5 to 10 min so they sent a man (tech.)To check out my box and he ordered a movie from the box. It had no password so I ask him about it and he said I would have to call in to talk to the office to ask them about a new password so this took me up to 4 passwords and he said its not the box they were doing it at the comcast cable co. And a lot of these movies that was ordered I was at dialysis on mon. , Wed. , Fri. And I also was at the hospital from 6am to 5 or 6 pm I have all the proof that I didn’t. Oh yeah I told one lady I have a call in password and she said it was taken off and I did not do this I don’t know if they like to like to rip off disable and senior citizens because this isn’t
right so if you or any one can help me or just let me know why these people do this kind of stuff.

It appears she was getting charged for movies she never ordered. She attempted to place a Password for phone and the cable box to prevent unauthorized purchases. They all were removed by someone or something and she was charged for movies never purchased. She also included some info about Dialisys M, W, and F and the purchases were always when she was at the hospital for 12 hours or more and could not have ordered them.

That is what I get from the original post.

WELL THIS IS A UPDATE ON THE CABLE RIP OFF WELL THEY SAID I DON'T OWE AS MUCH NOW FOR MOVIES I DIDN'T ORDER BUT THEY CUT OFF MY CABLE THEY RIPPED OFF SO MANY PEOPLE SO FAR THERE ARE 20 OF THEM THAT I KNOW OF AT THIS DATE AND THEY KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT ...................... WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT THATS WHY IN GOD I TRUST

you have to set up a password from your cable box... the call center has no way to do that. you can set up a password on your billing acct by calling the call center but not a cable box. that has to be done by the cable box in your home. it sounds like someone who was at your house ( kids, housesitter, spose, ect) was ordering movies because you didnt havd the password up right. comcast probally will bill you for them because they where ordered. if it was me i wld be mad at the person who was in your house ordering movies and running up the bill without having a thought abt you.

This is very unfortunate, but you still don't know the pleasure of a cable company having a complete monopoly on the area you live in heh.
