Vodka O2 Informative - Attempting to buy Vodka

Review by MMD2008 on 2007-08-12
I was in the UK and I simply wanted to buy their "new" Sparkling Vodka. Below, you can read the emails on how they treated me and the CEO's comment on Americans. Granted, all other UK people were friendly!
(Offended is me)

What makes you think that you are so important that you can show up at our office without an appointment , or that we are so needy to want to sell you two bottles because you werent capable to find yourself .
Your behaviour either is one of complete arrogance and self importance or you have some alternative motive . You were advised that the product would be on sale in the US and Michlle our customer service director offered to advise you where you could purchase it.
However ,I think your motives by your behaviour are less than honest . For the record the telephone numbers you provided went to some automated answering service in the US that would not work from UK.
Your behaviour makes you a very poor representative of Americans visiting overseas, expecting the whole world to revolve arround them. I am not anti American , my wife and two children are Americans, Philip Maitland CEO

To Sales:
For the record, this was the poorest excuse of sales and customer support I have ever seen. You expect to sell your product with this level of service? You would not even take my call, or met me face to face!

Plan on seeing these emails on the web!

Why did you post the emails in reverse order? This looks like you have left out some emails because the tone suddenly gets nasty, not by them but by you. The final reply by their CEO looks like I have it right. They told you the vodka would be available in the US soon but you went uninvited to their office to demand they sell you some vodka. As a visitor to a foreign country you represent the rest of us. By your own arrogance you did a good job of trashing the US. Thanks.

I don't know about this one...I used to write to alot of people over in the UK...Their writting style in the way they use and spell certain words are different than ours...and I'm not seeing that in these Emails from them.

PB on the money...poster needs to wait till it's readily available instead of making threats to a company and get of his/her arrogant attitude.

I think you've had enough Vodka. This post makes no sense what so ever.

I'm offended this was even posted.

Now I remember the term I wanted to use earlier - Ugly American.
Posted by Anonymous on 2007-08-13:
MMD2008, I like your style. Like I always say to foreigners - Screw you I'm an American now give me what I want and shuddup. Is it our fault we are the mightiest country on the planet? Might makes right ergo MMD2008 is completely in the right. The fact this limey putz had the audacity to write, "Your behaviour makes you a very poor representative of Americans" tells me the guy has a screw loose. It ain't up to his punk ass to make a judgment on the behavior of an American. Mr. Maitland will never make it onto my trust list. Great info!!! I voted this 'Very Helpful'.

The CEO's comment on 'Americans' was not a comment on Americans at all. It was a comment on YOUR obnoxious behavior.
So, it only stands to reason that if you either accidentally or purposely (or accidentally on purpose) misrepresented this little detail, what else in this sad little diatribe is misrepresented?

Lid, I got spoiled on beer on a trip to Germany. Can't find a comparable Pilsner here in the states.

EMT, I have Yuengling on tap right now.

Shawn, NO you don't! (What a tease you are)
Posted by shawnp80 on 2007-08-13:
I do. I like it a lot. Usually I get Miller Lite but I splurged this time.
Posted by Anonymous on 2007-08-13:
mmmmmmmmmmmm Yuengling mmmmmmmmmmm!! I'll take a cold, frosty glass..when's the party, shawn??

Posted by Anonymous on 2007-08-13:
Shawn, have you tried Miller Chill? My dads gave me one, and it was very refreshing..

Posted by shawnp80 on 2007-08-13:
You missed the party. My wife had a 30th surprise party for me last month. But I still have beer on tap always. So you can stop by for a cold lager anytime. I tried the Miller Chill, too much lime flavor I thought. It was ok.

jktshff1, I here ya and I will be at the October Fest this year but I did find one I like better in Scotland called Tennents Velvet. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM good stuff MMMMMMMMM

Posted by Anonymous on 2007-08-13:
Shawn, that is too funny. I had a surprise party for my husband (for his 30th), nearly 10 years ago!

The surprise party he threw me (for my 30th) was a disaster. I REALLY hate surprises.
I thought I was going to kill somebody.

They did, too.

shawnp80 - Do you like beer better than bong water?
Posted by Anonymous on 2007-08-13:
Stew, for shame. At least Shawn invites me over, unlike you!

Posted by Anonymous on 2007-08-13:
Stew are you on the pot again?
Posted by Anonymous on 2007-08-13:
emt_C, Well until last Friday I thought shawn was a chick who like to drink bong water and I thought that was very sexy. Now that I know shawn is a dude I don't think he's very sexy anymore. (No offense shawn)

Lidman - Nope... getting hooked on phonics again.
Posted by Anonymous on 2007-08-13:
What? No velociraptors? Dang Stew, you sure can hang in there..I'm impressed.
Posted by Anonymous on 2007-08-13:
WHAT?? You’re conically hooked again?
Posted by LABirdy on 2007-08-15:
Sounds like the guy who posted this is an idiot. You don't show up at the corporate office and say hey can you sell me some bottles and demand to speak to the CEO. What an idiot. Who does that? Corporate offices don't have registers to ring you up...duh.
