Ebay Complaint - E-Bay And Costupdate, The Two Companies That Work Together In Deliberately Ruining Buyers Reputations Such As Mine!
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- Before I begin, I am in the middle of an Unpaid Item Dispute involving E-bay and Costupdate. Everything I am saying in this letter is FACT and I have numerous documents such as receipts, bank statements, 1 very important tape conversation with Costupdate and verifications from both E-bay and Costupdate that will prove and support my facts. Thanks to Costupdate, my perfect 100% rating dropped to 92.9%. I take it that all of my fellow innocent Unpaid Item Dispute Buyers victims have gone through the same story I am going through at this present time. After reading all 39 heartbreaking pages of all of the complaints against E-bay, I'm 100% convinced that I am not going to receive a fair hearing. It is also my opinion that E-bay and Costupdate are working together in a conspiring malicious system to meet quota by destroying loyal Buyers reputations.
It is also FACT that Costupdate has filed numerous false and fraudulent Unpaid Item Strikes against innocent Buyers whom are go-to victims. The sad part is that E-bay is condoning it since Costupdate seems to be getting away with it each time they file an Unpaid Item Dispute. On 19 June 2007, I purchased a Clover IRC105 Color Outdoor Day/Night Infrared Camera. I made my purchase by credit card via PayPal. On the same date, I received an e-mail from Costupdate thanking me for the purchase and my payment has been received in the amount of $270.63. I also have a receipt dated 19 June 2007 from PayPal to support that fact. Costupdate NEVER sent me a tracking number. I received the camera the following week. After using the product, I was dissatisfied with it because it did not have any audio and the night vision distance did not travel 150 feet as the product openly advertised. I kept record of all of the many attempts and efforts that I have tried in contacting Costupdate by e-mail and phone with no response. This is a famous dishonest company tactic in ignoring the buyers in hopes that the 30 to 45 days to get a refund will expire. I then decided that I wanted a refund due to Costupdate's negligence due to their unprofessional communication skills. After my last attempt in hopes of contacting Costupdate on 12 July 2007, I notified PayPal on 2 July 2007 and requested that a claim or case be opened against Costupdate.
On 13 July 2007, it was decided between PayPal and I to escalate this dispute into a PayPal claim. I was instructed by PayPal to send the camera back on 13 July 2007. I sent the camera back on 14 July 2007 with a tracking number that needed to be provided as proof to PayPal. The biggest surprise up to this point is that I finally heard from Costupdate on 16 July 2007 with an RMA number. Some good the RMA number will do at this point especially since I already sent the camera back 2 days earlier. On 23 July 2007, I received an e-mail from PayPal officially concluding my claim in my favor resulting in getting my refund of $270.63. At this point I thought it was finally over. WRONG!
The next day, on 24 July 2007, Costupdate decides to demonstrate their rude and unfair retaliation tactics by filing an Unpaid Item Dispute against me with E-bay for the camera I already paid for and was recently refunded for. The saying: "PAYPAL IS FOR THE BUYERS AND E-BAY IS FOR THE SELLERS," is true. No wonder companies like Costupdate retaliate against the innocent buyers for the seller's screw-ups and file an Unpaid Item Dispute against the buyer, E-bay lets the companies such as Costupdate win and deliberately ruin the buyers loyal reputations. During this dispute that is STILL PENDING (The longer the dispute process, the more E-bay is trying to dig up trash on me and rule in favor of Costupdate despite all of the documentation, receipts and bank statements I already faxed to E-bay to prove that Costupdate was not only the culprit and root of this dispute, but to expose this company as the real habitual liars that they truly are, something that I truly believe that E-bay is already aware of.)
All of the facts that I faxed to E-bay should have proven my case and ended this dispute immediately. I have done my best to have my say and be heard, yet I am being ignored. And since I have no say in this matter, as of now, 13 August 2007, I filed a complaint against Costupdate with the Better Business Bureau in hopes that the truth will be told. I am writing this long review in order to expose the REAL truth about E-bay and one of their many sneaky and vicious villain companies, Costupdate.
I have already submitted and requested numerous times by e-mail that I want my account with E-bay PERMANENTLY closed. At this point, I truly feel that the resolution and reconciliation that E-bay so-called demands from both the buyers and the sellers such as Costupdate and myself, WILL NEVER HAPPEN! Then again, how can E-bay preach about their procedures by doing the right thing and yet, E-bay doesn't practice what they preach. E-bay also stresses to send or e-mail all of the documentation that I have that will support my facts. My question to E-bay is this: "WHAT EVIDENCE DOES COSTUPDATE HAVE OR WHAT HAVE THEY SUBMITTED TO YOU TO PROVE WHAT THEY ARE SAYING? Answer, N-O-N-E!!!
I'm concluding that E-bay is taking Costupdate's word by mouth rather than facts and documentation to support it. GOOD EXAMPLE E-BAY AND COSTUPDATE. As the saying goes, "WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND!"
