Bayshore Medical Center Pasadena Texas Complaint - Poor Treatment - Emergency Room

Review by eleven on 2007-08-14
VIRGINIA -- On April 16 2007 I was taken to the emergency room by ambulance. The ambulance tech. had me as an overdose so my treatment by the ER staff was none except to let me lay in a piss bed for four hours while they did nothing. My husband was ask for my medical history. I have Lupus and Gillian-Bree syndrome. A condition that makes me seen to be on drugs (slurred speech not able to understand simple question) There was no treatment for me even though I was in pain from the fall in the driveway which fractured my scapula and my pelvis. The Admitting doctor Mathew had ex-ray done but never looked at them to see these fractures it was a neurologist that saw the fracture and that is when a physical therapist was called the doctor never did anything except have blood drawn for a drug overdose, and not the fracture. The hospital staff were rude and not helpful. I suffered for three days. I ask for a patient Advocate that took the position of the doctor and would investigate I have never herd from the hospital except the billing department.

If you are injured do not go to this hospital. You will not be treated in a humane fashion. Five days later I was seen by an bone doctor who has help me recover.

Where was your husband all this time? Is he mute? You said they asked him for your medical history so I assume he was right there - he should have made them aware of your fall and your pre-existing condition that made you appear to be overdosing.

I would talk to a lawyer. Not one of those who advertise on TV.
