Rooms Today Complaint - Terrible Customer Services
MOORESTOWN, NEW JERSEY -- I purchased Living room Furniture (Sofa, loveseat, chair and ottoman) and a Entertainment Center from Rooms Today in Moorestown, NJ on 6/8/07 for delivery on 7/7/07.
Two days before delivery I received a phone call telling me that the sofa couldn't be delivered until 7/19 and the chair on 8/9. On 7/7, the delivery men bought in the pieces of the entertainment center, wood chipped, legs missing, overhead lights broken and doors hung crookedly. I called but could not get anyone with any management skills to speak to. I had to go to the store and actually demand to speak to a manager to help me.
When the sofa was delivered on 7/19, it had a huge hole ripped into the fabric in the back, when my husband tried to refuse delivery, the delivery man told him that "I had approved the delivery of the damaged sofa", my husband called the store was kept on hold for 10 minutes, he hung up, the store clerk called him back and told him "He was rude for hanging up. Furious, he said they could take back all of it, her reply was "Go ahead, won't bother me at all". Again, we had to go back to the store. I'm still waiting for the delivery of my new sofa.
The store needs to hire office personnel that have better telephone skills. It also needs space to speak in private, so that staff and customers don't hear what's going on. The staff at Moorestown thought it was all a big joke.
